What We Offer

Private Lessons

A private lesson provides one-on-one time with the pet, their owner, and the trainer. In these lessons, the owner learns how to work through the behavior plan with their pet.

Each private lesson includes discussion about how things are going and troubleshooting issues or giving advice. I will typically start the exercises with your pet before passing them off to you to practice while I am there to coach you through it.

Unlimited support via email/text offered to every client in between lessons.

Day Training

Day training provides private lessons with the major addition of one-on-one time between just the pet and trainer, separate from time with the owner. For two hours per day, twice a week, the trainer works the behavior plan with the pet, and then provides daily reports on the pet’s progress.

Throughout the day training program, private lessons are scheduled to show the owner what the trainer and pet have been working on, discuss any updates to the behavior/management plan, and give the owners the tools needed to participate in the pet’s training between day training sessions.

Day training helps pets progress smoothly through their training and helps reduce stress on the owner. Training goals can be achieved, and the owner still learns about how to work with their pet, just without the pressure of being the sole person responsible for the pet’s regular practice.

Unlimited support via email/text offered to every client in between lessons.

No travel fees are added to day training packages, price as is.

The Training Process

Management

The foundation of creating positive change. Good management means everyone knows what happens, how it happens, and when it happens. They key here is preventing the practicing of unwanted/inappropriate/harmful behaviors.

Behavior Modification

Might also be thought of as rehabilitation. Behavior modification focuses on addressing the root cause of behaviors. It focuses on the needs these behaviors are currently meeting and the underlying emotional state.

“Training”

Training is what happens when we utilize learning theory to teach new skills and foster communication. Good training is fun, enriching, and strengthens the human-animal bond.

Set Up for Success

The process only works if it is reasonable to implement. For both the humans and the non-human animals in the household. My goal is to set you up for success so you can set your pet up for success. No one wants to keep doing something if they feel like they are failing all the time.
